It's said that time heals all wounds But can a heart so broken be healed? Life once complete, now filled with sadness and despair. I still look for him in every face I see, I still wait for him to come through the door And say, "I'm home Mom". My arms, once so full, now empty Why could we not have just one more day? A day where I could see him, and touch his face. I see his beautiful smile And for a moment, just a moment in time He's here with me, and all is well... He was a precious gift from God above, For him, I thank you God. But that question of why still remains Why did he have to leave so soon? His life had only just begun, I wasn't ready to let him go... Even after all this time, I still miss him, My dreams keep him alive There was no time to say goodbye... So many words left unspoken...
