I am in a great deal of pain.
I have two wisdom teeth trying to grow,
I'm teething at twenty-two don't you know.
It is 1 a.m. I should be dreaming,
But instead my gums are screaming.
If it didnt hurt so much to open my mouth, I'd yell,
"Help! Someone please take away this pain from hell!"
Anyway, what is the purpose of these wisdom teeth?
I have lived this long without them, good grief!
The pain is almost too much to bare,
I need a hug and some tender loving care.
I have already taken something for the pain,
But it doesn't seem to have helped a thing.
Well, now it is 3 a.m. and here I still sit,
Will the pain ever ease up? Just a bit?
Where they got the name 'wisdom teeth' I will never know,
It doesn't seem very wise to me, for a tooth to grow in so slow.
