If The Rocket We Built From That Big Box
If the rocket we built from that big box could really fly to Mars,
I'd pack a lunch and we'd pincic on top of the shinning stars.
We'd play leap frog with the little green men,
Who instead of having two ears, have ten.
Maybe they could teach us some martian games,
Which I'm sure would be easier than saying their names.
If the rocket we built from that big box could really fly,
I'd take you to Saturn to meet the red people who have only one eye.
We can ride on the rings that surround their home,
And play some more games as we wonder and roam.
If the rocket we built from that big box could really zoom,
We'd put on our helmets and fly over to Neptune.
We wouldn't stay long, there is so much more to see,
We'd be on our way after playing catch with the men who are striped red and green.
If the rocket we built from the big box could really go,
We'd bundle up in blankets and hop on over to Pluto.
It would be much to cold to go outside and run,
So we'd have to show the polka-dotted people an indoor games thats fun.
If the rocket we built from that big box could really fly,
We'd go to Uranus and see the blue people who grew so high.
Next we'd go to Jupiter and see a wonderful sight,
Rainbow colored men who glow like a light.
The men on Venus would be so much fun to meet,
To watch them race is great, for you see, they each have twenty feet.
Our last stop would be Mercury, though we would only stay for a short while,
Its a small planet, not much to see, and the sun feels like it's no further than a mile.
We would have to come back before we were missed,
But we can visit anytime we wished.
We could just hope in our rocket and soar up so high,
If the rocket we built from that big box really could fly.
