My research is conducted within the "Philosophy of Cognitive Science Group" at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Bucharest. I am mainly working on diagrammatic reasoning (external diagrammatic systems, internal diagrams, the cognitive role of diagrams), attempting to provide a quasi-pictorial theory of the mental representational medium. The main results of my research will eventually be collected as my B.A. Thesis. In the meantime, I think a lot on various philosophical issues- for instance, the last semester I was interested in D. Lewis's counterpart theory and its application to vagueness problems, the status of thought experiments in the problem of personal identity, social constructivism and other forms of scientific antirealism, and reference fixing for indexicals. I also have a trans-temporal interest in Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus. For those who want to read some term-papers of mine (only in Romanian, unfortunately), take a look on this list and send me an e-mail.
