Treatment
Taken For Granted
There is only so much a person can take when faced with job loss, humiliation, and constant abuse. People deal with this stress in different ways but some people just snap. Four best friends Monica, Kyle, Liz and Ray attend an alternative high school, Getroling High, and little do they know their perfect world is about to come crashing down in a barrage of tears and violence. In high school the popular crowd reigns supreme and the losers are pushed away never to climb the social ladder. The teachers are underpaid and over worked, the stress level is at an all time high and coping with it rationally may not be the right answer. A taboo relationship between student and teacher could be the downfall of the school if it’s not taken care of properly, driving the staff to keep all parties involved silent at any cost.
For years Getroling has flown under the radar just barely passing inspections to remain a school, they are under funded and it definitely shows. When finally they are up for the federal grant money they so truly deserve there are changes that have to be made to ensure the check is written out to them. A principal who has everything to lose is certainly not the kind of man you want to challenge. The relationship between student and teacher cannot remain quite for long because in a high school with only sixty students and seven teachers there are no secrets.
With the motive set and the crime executed all eyes turn to the staff making everyone a suspect in the death of Monica Edwards. The desperation of the teachers to keep her silent, points to only one thing and that is death. Only one witness to testify, one witness that is more involved with the murder then anyone would think, one witness that didn’t even see who the killer was. On her bias alone she will lead the detectives down the path of reasoning that couldn’t be father from the true motive. When Kyle and Ray’s death, in close proximity with Monica’s surfaces, things start to spin out of control.
They are looking for the killer in all the wrong places and strong evidence leads Liz to believe that she may just be the next victim. Now with an alternate motive and possibly a second killer on the lose Liz’s life is in danger. Will the Monica, Ray, and Kyle’s killer ever be brought to justice? Will the agents be able to see that they are on the wrong path? Is anyone going to notice that there is a possible ulterior motive, one that is in complete contrast to what the witness could ever imagine? When pushed to the brink of insanity there is no turning back.
