Charm of Amaranthes

First of all, amaranthes are very easy to grow. And, you can enjoy them between the beginning of the summer and the end of the autumn.
Red stem also is gorgeous.
Amaranths are remarkable plants with high nutrition and low allergenic feature. The taste is not very good as itself, but they are often mixed in rice or cookies.
However, there are lots of breedings, and only about 10 spieces are commonly eaten among almost 800 spieces. And, even among these edible 10 spieces, different parts are eaten depending on the spieces.
Though the seeds sold in nurseries as decorative plants are not poisoness possibly, it must be better
just to enjoy them as decorative plants.

Seeding

Good seeding season is in the middle or the end of the spring. Germination rate is pretty high, and they germinate in a few days after seeding. Cover the seeds with slight amount of soil.
Because they prefer not to be transplanted,
seed them directly on the container, and space if it is too crowded. 2 inches of intervals may be recuired.
