All over the world, redwoods exist only in California and a part of China. They grow huge with taking hundreds of years.
In the above picture is the tree called "Father of the Forest" in Big Basin State Park. Its hight is 250 feet, and the circumference at the ground is 66 feet 9 inches.
If one big tree dies because of the thunder, next generations star to grow around the dead tree.
