"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world."  I John 4:1
Good Readings
Simple:  the answer is yes, and, in case you haven't noticed, I am one.  Goths are a subculture, not a religion.  As in any culture, there are a variety of religions represented.  People have assumed because of the affinity for dark colors that goths are all obsessed with the satanic...while some may be, the majority are not.  There are quite a few Christian goths along with all the other religions we represent.  In fact, by percentage, most goths are deeply spiritual and intuitive.  They are extremely open to learning about anything supernatural, including Christianity.  We are not, however, into an empty religion of words and rituals.  Beliefs tend to be deeply personal and very lived out.  Absence of spirituality would be very rare to find in a goth.  There is a very sincere and genuine approach taken to faith in our subculture.  Though our religions may vary, we tend to be very open to learning of others.  Really, the question is NOT
"can a goth be a Christian?", but really,
"can a goth be an atheist?"

Goths are unfriendly, satanic, and harmful to society.  Goths can't be Christian.  Goths are scary, rebellious,  and follow Marilyn Manson (true goths can't stand him!...we like to find the beauty in things, and Manson tends to be the epitomy of all things ugly).  Goths are merely a music subculture.  Goths are shallow and vain.  Goths just want attention.  Goths are only teenagers trying to find their identity and will grow out of it.  Goths only wear the color black.  Goths are defined as all people who like to dress in black.  Okay, this is a lot of them...but I'm sure you can think of more!  Maybe you're a goth and you got one to add to this that people have thought of you- email it to me.  Truth is, these are all very very erroneous assumptions.  If you want the truth about goths, read my "What is a goth" section!
