EDWARD BAILEY, M.D.

Dr. Bailey was born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island. He attended Providence College in Providence, R.I. where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He attended medical school at Maharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. In his senior year in medical school he was commissioned a 2nd Lt. In the USAF and completed his senior year and remainder of his training under Air Force sponsorship. His internship was done at Homer G. Philips Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He then spent 3 years in general medicine at RAF Station Bentwaters in Eastern England.
He returned to an OB/GYN Residency at David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis AFB. He practiced general OB/GYN at Scott AFB, IL, for 5 years before returning to California to do a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at L.A. County/USC Medical Center. He practiced Endocrinology/Infertility at Travis for 5 years, and then he retired from the USAF, after 21 years of service.
In August of 1985 he joined the Permanente Medical Group at Kaiser Santa Clara and has been serving members at the Santa Clara facility, then at the Marina Playa facility since the opening.
Dr. Bailey is board certified in OB/GYN and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists as well as a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He enjoys skiing, golf, and home improvement. His current practice involves care and treatment of patients with problems getting pregnant.
