Young Spanish soprano Maria Bisso was born in Buenos Aires and got her degrees in voice and piano from the National Music Conservatoire of Argentina. Afterwards she worked with tenor Nino Falzetti and coach Susana Cardonnet (both artists from Buenos Aires� Teatro Col�n). She also partecipated in masterclasses on Lieder singing given by maestro Wilhelm Opitz, on Rabine voice method by professor Renata Parussel and on opera staging with Teatro Col�n�s director Willy Landin. She�s currently working with professor Ruthilde Boesch in Vienna.

She won the third prize at the �Maria Callas� International Singing Competition in San Pablo (Brasil), being immediatly singled-out by the world-famous tenor Luigi Alva, who was president of the jury.

After many recitals, concerts and TV appearences, she made her operatic debut with the role of Serafina in a chamber version of Gaetano Donizetti�s �Il campanello� at the Teatro del Club Italiano in Buenos Aires. Afterwards she was invited by the management of Buenos Aires� Teatro Avenida to sing Nella in Puccini�s �Gianni Schicchi� under conductor Emiliano Greizerstein and Pamina in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart�s �Die Zauberfl�te� under maestro Antonio Russo.

She also sang the role of Medora in Giuseppe Verdi�s �Il corsaro� at the Teatro Roma of Avellaneda under Andr�s Juncos and was invited by maestro Javier Logioia Orbe to perform Lauretta in Giacomo Puccini�s �Gianni Schicchi� at the Teatro del Libertador of Cordoba (Argentina).

She made her debut at the Teatro Col�n in July 2002 as soprano soloist in Johann Sebastian Bach�s �Johannes Passion�, conducted by Mario Videla, sharing the stage with world-renowned artists like Bernarda Fink, Gerd T�rk and V�ctor Torres.

In 2003 she sang in the Teatro Argentino of La Plata Zerlina in Mozart�s �Don Giovanni� , Musetta in Puccini�s �La Boheme�, under conductor Mario De Rose and Ellen in Delibes�s �Lacm�, under maestro Fernando Alvarez.

In 2004 she sang as soprano soloist in  Carl Orff�s  �Carmina Burana�
