Super Mario World: Redrawn, Demo 2
Graphics by: icegoom

What I've set out to do here is redraw all of Super Mario World's graphics in a more contemporary style. (Using Mario Party Advance, Super Princess Peach, and New Super Mario Bros. for reference) These graphics are completely free for anyone to use in any way they please. You don't have to credit me, but it's always nice to get recognition. ;) You'll need a clean Super Mario World ROM to apply the patch to. (Try googling "Super Mario World (U) [!].smc") If you don't know how to apply a patch, just look up Lunar IPS. It's easy to figure out.

This is the second demo, and all I've done here is added some graphics that weren't changed the last time around. You've got wooden platforms, goal point question spheres, animated question blocks, cave and castle foregrounds, a new Thwimp, a new Pokeys, and more crap I don't feel like listing. The overworld palettes are fixed and I degrainified everything. Actually, I don't know why I'm bothering to call this a demo anymore, since I'm not really sure what else I could change. Let me know if I've missed something, keeping in mind that I can't do much with backgrounds. Learn to use ExGfx and use ripped ones. These characters were really meant to go into ripped environments anyway.

If you're going to rip the graphics out of here and stick them into another hack in progress, I highly recommend you use the palettes, too. I've changed Mario's palette a bit this time around to make him look less sucky with Luigi's palette. The final shade in the palette used to be yellow. I've replaced all instances of yellow with the lightest tan shade and stuck a light red/green in that slot. If you fail to change the final slot from yellow, Mario and Luigi will have some bright yellow highlights on their clothing, which will look bad. Maybe sometime in the future I'll implement separate Luigi graphics and classic fire colors.

Also included here are some alternate graphics for some of the characters. If you don't like what I've got stuck in the game, feel free to use the alternates. There are more instructions in the folder with the graphics.
