TEREKHOL FORT

This sea fort is situated on the river Terekhol. This is last (Southern most) forts along the Sahyadri Mountain Range and is covered by dense forest. It lies on the Maharashtra-Goa border. It played an important role in the liberation of Goa from the Portuguese. A rest house is built amidst its huge walls and thick forest.
