Ferrari 550 Maranello Barcheta

Recalling the classic long-hood short-deck 365 Daytonas and GTOs of a generation ago, the 550 Maranello is Ferrari's most powerful sports car. The 550 goes 0-60mph in just olver 4 sec and tops out at a rarely legal 199mph. The aluminum-bodied two-sater is available in coupe or roadster forms and shares its tubular -steel frame V-12 engine, six speed transaxle, and other mechanicals with the roomier 645M. The Barcheta was new for '01 featuring a 4.0-in windshield chop, dual-hoop rollbars, aluminum gas-filler cap, two-piece alloy wheels, and carbon fiber interior accints.
