The 3-way in this picture was brought by Robert. It's designed around the Vifa M21, M10MD, and TC-20. I think the overall impression was that the midrange was a bit "in your face" but I think Robert has fixed this since the gathering. Robert, send me a nicer pic of these beauties please. The black face of the speaker is leather, these were my favorites to look at...VERY NICE!!!
Here you can see the Sansui amp/pre-amp that Robert brought. Also shown is the SACD/CD player that John brought along. The speaker in this shot is a two-way design using Isophon drivers, it was brought by Jim and was probably my favorite to listen to out of the bunch.
Denton and myself in this one. We have lived about 10 miles from each other for several years now and didn't even know it. Well, maybe he knew it and just didn't want me to...DOH!!!
Myself and John sitting here in this one. Not sure I like this pic as I already look "comfortably numb" and hadn't even popped a top yet.
Here is the all Dayton "Uni-CC" 3-way center channel that Robert brought. Overall a very nuetral center that would probably match up to most mains, especially those utilizing Dayton stuff. My Adire center had a bit more bottom end but the Dayton center had a bit better midrange thanks to it's 5.25" driver in it's own seperate aperiodically damped enclosure.
My Adire Audio Kit 281 center channel.
Bob, Jim, and Chris. Bob (lft) is Jim's (cntr) father. Chris (rght) is of no relation but they make a nice fit on the couch eh? Actually, Bob ended up visiting with my parents about fishing and hunting all day, was a fun time for all I think.
Carlo and Too sitting here being amazed (or amused maybe..hehe) by the fish tales being shared in the living room.
Courtesy of our AWESOME contributors. Audio Liquidators, Stryke Audio, Madisound, Parts Express, Zalytron for all the goodies, and Jim Jay's Bar-B-Q for the wonderful pulled BBQ pork sandwiches.
This guy's pic should have been at the top...but it's not...HA! Robert here was a great help to me from start to finish with this event. He ended up bringing a couple of projects and people, as long as a nice old Sansui amp that we used. This guy REALLY loves this hobby folks, you can bank on that. Once again Robert, thanks for your help and great personality bro'!!!
This shot shows my Blueprint 1001 sub that is currently housed and powered via a Radio Shack enclosure and amp that my neighbor was throwing out. Will be building the proper enclosure this weekend.
The primered speaker shown here was another brought by Robert. It utilizes the Seas P17RC midbass and the Seas 27TFFC tweeter. This one seemed to be the crowd favorite to listen to.
I thought my Blueprint 1503 was big until this BEAST (AL1804) showed up at my door. I need a couple of these now, the 1503 is for sale to any reasonable bid. As can see we used these for the "pots" to pull names out of when drawing for the door prizes.
