I have been playing the organ from the age of 10 and since then have played for many church services particularly for the Methodist Church in the West Midlands area. I am now organist at St Mary's Methodist Church in Handforth.
In addition to playing the church organ,, I am a keen enthusiast of theatre organs (played many including the world famous Wurlitzer at Blackpool Tower!) and vintage Compton electronic instruments.
For home practice I have a piano and also a Compton electronic organ dating back to the 1950's.
Incidentally, having learnt so much about Compton electronic organs I have got to know them inside out so am available to repair these if required. All I ask is for travel expenses and cost for any new parts if required. Please contact me on the number below or email me if I can be of help to you.
I specialise in playing light music on the church organ and believe that it is possible to get just as good a sound from a church organ played in entertainment style as it is a cinema organ - if not better!
Until recently I was working for an organ builders but have recently begun making a living as a Crematorium organist.
I am available to play for events such as Church Flower Festivals, Weddings etc. I have a large selection of light classical music relating to flowers! Obviously as I often play for funerals in the week I am only available on Saturdays.
I dont charge any fees as such for churches. All I would ask is for my travel expenses.
