| Photo taken from Schreiber Heritage and Tourism Commitees Special Edition Heritage Calendar commemorating Schreiner's 110 birthday. |
| On May 16, 1885, the "Last Spike" on the transcontinental railway that connected east to west was driven into the track at Noslo, thirty kilometers east of Schreiber. On November 1, 1885, the first eastbound train left Winnipeg (passing through Schreiber), and travelled on to Montreal. This photo was taken in the early 1900's in the Schreiber C.P. yard. |
