I have made 5 of these "Nanny Bears" for my grandsons. The first two were for my grandsons that moved far away from "Nanny", one to South Dakota and one to England. They have now become a tradition for the boy's 3rd Christmas.

These Santa's heads are molded from Super Sculpy clay, then baked and painted. Dressed in velvet and fur, they are 12 inches tall.
In the past, I made all my dolls from "scratch", cleaning the greenware before firing, painting and firing again. The progressive loss of feeling in my hands now means I must buy ready cleaned greenware. I made all the dolls clothes with the exception of the first one.
