Do you remember homepages? They were nice little places, full to the brim of information about our lives. We thought there could never be anything cooler. Then we discovered blogs, and our poor little homepages became neglected corners of the Internet. How sad.  I remember mine every so often, particularly when I want to link to a picture. I've been thinking lately, though, that I kind of miss having a place to keep the things I really like, where they'll be easily found for a long time to come. Instead of having many pages, I'm thinking about just squeezing it all onto this page. Links to certain files, certainly, but then maybe just a description of the pub in one corner of the page, and a description of my dog in another. I'm thinking haphazard fonts to make it really hard to read. No,  not really.
I'll probably type something about the pub here. It's a fun, cozy, love-filled place. It makes me happier than any place besides my own apartment. I sometimes think I should nail wood to the walls and put up support beams to make home feel more like the pub, but I don't think the landlord would like that so much. Landlords are such a pain. Anyway, I go to the pub most every Thursday night to see Uisce Beatha, a band that makes me very happy. I occasionally go other nights of the week, depending on how my budget is doing, or whether I've been asked to help out with serving. I usually sit with my friends and drink Guinness. Sometimes I ignore my friends and drink Guinness. ;)
A dog, a cat, a pub, a garrett, a university, a family, a circle of friends, a dream.

This will be where I put my story of college. I started after high school. I worked a lot. I did poorly. I had nervous breakdowns every semester. I dropped out. I had a terrible part-time corporate job and realized when I looked through classified ads that I would never get out of there if I didn't finish my degree. I also felt that not finishing was something that hung over my head daily. I decided I wanted to be a person who finished things. I'm doing very well this time around. I'm working and playing and studying in a fairly balanced manner, and getting good grades. It seems I might actually graduate someday. For now, I'm enjoying the learning process more than I ever did before.
