Honey & Kate from Butterflies Are Free sent me some info that I think you would like to know!!

On Monday we talked to the German office of the European "Wise Girls" distributor International Media and they told us that so far it's not said whether the movie will be released in cinemas or not but the woman we talked to, told us that she doesn't believe the movie will be released in Germany this year.

Together with Dieter, Sabine and Tommy we now founded a German Mariah Fanclub. For 10 Euro / year "Fly Away" offers a 40pages fanzine, which'll be sent out every 3 months. Also members have the possibility to receive a E-Mail- or SMS-newsletter and every new member receives a 10x15cm Mariah-photo and a membership card. PINK LOVES GLITTER 05/29/02....
American singer Pink, 22, recently spoke to an american magazine and said that she is inspired to sing to Mariah's style. She said she dreams about recording some song she grew up listening to, and that music has always helped her through problems with kids from school.

Pink, now all grown-up, says she followed the right steps in her career. The singer with pink hair, also said, she loved 'Glitter' and that it was really a pity that the media didn't undertand the "purity" passed in the movie.

MARIAH CAREY'S ON 05/29/02....
It's been good and bad news for diva Mariah Carey lately. First, Virgin Records dismissed her from the label, then a Popdirt.com poll named Carey the act whose music most people would like to see "booted off the planet." But she recently signed a multi-million dollar deal with Universal imprint Def Jam. Noting the swings in Carey's career, a Def Jam official said, "In this day and age of contract negotiations, we're very careful with artists. With Mariah, we actually built into the contract the option to drop her even before we signed her."

MARIAH CAREY SPOTTED AT DIVAS LIVE 05/28/02....
Pop Diva Mariah Carey was spotted in Las Vegas at VH1's Divas Live rehearsal session. According to a spokesperson for the music station, Carey attended at Whitney Houston's invite. She was seen talking to Houston and Mary J. Blige in the Lounge. "I had no idea she was even there until I went over to the lounge to let Mary and Whitney that they were up next for rehearsal and I saw her standing there chatting with the two of them", said the show's producer, David Arnold.

Carey had planned to stay for the concert and watch her friends perform, but when she learned her ex-husband, Tommy Mottola and his wife, Mexican sensation, Thalia were attending, she decided not to stay as she didn't want a confrontation to occur and cause a scene. "Her Ex and his wife were there to support Celine Dion, a friend of the couple as well as Mariah's", said Arnold.

Carey slipped away while rehearsals were still going on, after saying goodbye to her friends, Houston, and Blige. VH1 Divas Live 2002 features performances by Cher, Shakira, Mary J. Blige with special guest Whitney Houston, Anastasia, Dixie Chicks, Stevie Nicks, and headlining act, Celine Dion.

According to a posting from DanTheMans22 on Mariah Carey's official website forum: "I was this concert called HFStival with a lot of rock bands and stuff and the main act at the end was Eminem and he was talking to some girl in the audience telling her that he thinks she's pretty etc, etc. and then he was like but I'm going to tell it to you like I did Mariah Carey.... then he said "fu** you bitch you make me ill." And then started a song. He seems to have some bitter obsession with Mariah Carey now."

Her songs don't cost a thing? 05/26/02....
It hasn't been smooth sailing for actress-turned-singer Jennifer Lopez, who is facing allegations of musical thievery and exploitation from all corners. The leggy Latino was recently under fire for reportedly pinching a sample that rival diva Mariah Carey was intending to use on her ill-fated Glitter soundtrack album.

Now Lopez is accused of failing to properly acknowledge the aid given to her by two of America's rising R&B stars, namely Christina Milian and Ashanti. Milian, 18, wrote the hit song Play, which was handed to Lopez by Sony Executives for use on her 2001 album, J.Lo. Her vocals feature heavily throughout the track, but Milian was not rightfully credited for her musical input.

In addition, newcomer Ashanti lent her talents to a Ja Rule-penned remix version of Lopez' hit I'm Real -- only to discover that her input would also be unfairly trivialized by the label.

"At first I was like, 'Dag, those are my vocals that people are listening to," Ashanti told WENN. "It was weird because people were saying it doesn't sound like her all the way. I knew that it was going to get out sooner or later. "It's not a hatred thing. All I'm saying is that I did my part. J.Lo did her part, kept some of my vocals in and had a hit record," she added.

A storm began brewing about the song last year, when Lopez was accused of miming on the track, which she denied.

Apparently Mariah will be mentioned on Entertainment Tonight today with teh subject line of the show featurinmg "MARIAH's demands for donuts, danish and low-fat margarine; J-LO's obsesion with white; Inside the pages of bizarre celebrity contracts -- and the star who demands a food taster!" Sounds yummy to me!

WiseGirls Petition Gets More Press 05/23/02....
Troubled diva Mariah Carey's devoted fans are bombarding a film company with pleas to release her second movie.

Immediately after finishing last year's flop Glitter, the curvy singer went on to star in mobster drama Wisegirls opposite Mira Sorvino, just before her emotional breakdown last summer.

Devotees of the diva have been emailing protests to Lion Gate Films, demanding the film be released in cinemas after hearing reports the flick will go straight to video. (WENN)
