Doggy dancing....
As its name indicates,"dancing with a dog" is a recent discipline originated from Great Britain and USA.Mary Gray had her first representation at "CRUFTS" dog-show,the biggest international show organised once a year in England. This performance revealed numbers of supporters all over the world. Thus, many "canin dance schools" open their doors to the partisans of this new sport.
It is mainly,a pleasant
(feminin) sport very creative, based on an obedience system, centered on
rewarding: a piece of cheese,a ball,a cookie,is enough to traine a dog and
invite it to unveil its artistic "talents",who reflects in fact, also,
the master's talents.
According to some people, the ideal canin sport: trainning of the dog, positive relation-ship between the dog and the master, expression -through the dog -of the creativity of the master involving danse,music,disguising,moving,choréography.....
Every kind of breed-and not
only border collies!- are suitab
le to "invite their master for a
dance".This requires regular trainning,not too long(15-20'),giving
satisfaction to the dog and the master together. The preparation,is ,for the
master,a bit harshness and demands a lot of time(choise of the music, multiples
auditions, reflection on the "schetches" played by the dog, organisation
of the steps, final show ...).But once going past realised, the dog shaking
his tail happily when learning each step, the master showing a smile of
satisfaction,here is a remarquable complicity!
It is enchanting,touching,beautiful..........a great success for the canin world and his passionned friends.
The first official competition was held in Belgium at March 2001.For further informations ,please refer to your local trainning schools and canin clubs.
