| These two are a husband and wife team. Although Leigh has not been credited for most of it, she has helped David with most of his novels. Together they have written four series of books and three stand alone novels that I know of. One little note here, I haven't been very detailed with the Bel/Mal series yet, but when I get a chance, I'm gonna add the blurb from the back of the books. Like I said before, I'm not at home right now, so I can't get to my books. The Belgariad - This series consists of five books which tell the story of Garion, a farm-raised boy from Sendaria, his Aunt Pol and Mister Wolf, the travelling storyteller. These two are more than they seem to be, and Garion does not know what to think when they drag him off on a quest to recover a stolen object that holds the fate of the world together. 1. Pawn of Prophecy 2. Queen of Sorcery 3. Magician's Gambit 4. Castle of Wizardry 5. Enchanter's End Game The Mallorean - The sequel series to the Belgariad, these books tell how Garion and his friends old and new must follow Zandramas, the kidnapper of his infant son Geran. 1. Guardians of the West 2. King of the Murgos 3. Demon Lord of Karanda 4. Sorceress of Darshiva 5. Seeress of Kell They have also written two companion novels that are set before the events of the Belgariad. Belgarath the Sorcerer - This book charts the early life of Belgarath, covering the first time the Orb was stolen, when he and Cherek Bear-Shoulders and his sons went to reclaim it from Cthol Mishrak, and the Battle of Vo Mimbre, up to the start of the Belgariad. Polgara the Sorceress - This book shows roughly the same events, but from Polgara's perception. It also describes Polgara's Peace in Arendia. The Redemption of Althalus - This is their latest book and is a stand alone novel. Althalus is a thief down on his luck when he accepts a job from a man named Ghend to steal something called a book from a deserted house at the edge of the world. When he gets there, he finds the house is not as deserted as he was led to believe, the sole occupant being a talking cat. When he turns around to leave, however, Althalus can't find the door that was right behind him. |
