Watercolor Class Tuesday January 7, 2003.

Shrimp boat on a stormy sea I got the inspiration for this painting from Tony Couch's book Keys to Successful Painting.

We will be working with soft and hard edges.

The white in the painting is the white of the paper.

The colors for the sky are Ultramarine Blue, Permanent Rose and a tiny amount of Cadmium Yellow. The sea is Ultramarine Blue and Viridian. Phthalo Green or Hookers Green can be used instead of Viridian. The colors used for the boat are Burnt Sienna and Ultramarine Blue.
