Now with dirt!
I copied some tiles from Tactics Ogre. Doing so taught me a couple of interesting things.
- When a brick hangs out over another brick, they make the top/right edge black outlined so it's easier to differentiate it from the bricks behind/under it. You can see why by looking at the southern tip of this screenshot. It's a raised area but it's really hard to tell because all the colors blend in. If you look at screen9 it's much more obvious that the raised area is raised, because the edges are distinct. I added back in some black edge lines everywhere for the time being.
- When a tile meets another tile, for example when a dirt tile is sitting on top of a water tile, where the two meet the transition is not clear-cut across tile boundaries. A bit of the bottom of the dirt tile appears watery, and the top of the water tile is dirty. I wonder if they have separate tiles for dirt meets water, dirt meets dirt, dirt meets stone, etc? The same seems to be true when two tiles of different types are next to each other.
