swear that I will look upon him who shall have taught me this art even
as one of my Parents...

follow that method of treatment which, according to my ability and judgment,

I consider for the benefit of my patients,
and
abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous. I
will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked, not suggest and such counsel,
and with purity and with holiness I will pass my life and practice my art... Into
whatever houses I enter I will go into them for the benefit of the sick
I will abstain from every voluntary act of mischief and corruption... Whatever,
in connection with my professional practice, or not in connection with
it, I may see or hear in the lives of wo/men which ought not t be spoken
abroad, I will not divulge, counting such things to be as sacred secrets.
Claims
are made that Elvis had a massive heart attack, bone cancer, lupus and
a number of other maladies.
Some
claim he had them all. It
doesn't take a genius to realize if Elvis had died of these things there
would have been nothing to hide and certainly no reason to conceal
his autopsy results and death certificate. If
this were true and found to have killed Elvis, he would have been raised
to the status of saint and be even more valuable today. You
don't alter or conceal documents of public record unless you have something
to hide.
Since the beginning
of medicine, perscribing opiates/narcotics or any medicine
have always been informed decisions made by "Medical Doctors" who have
to sworn to keep the below oath before they are licensed to practice medicine.
