Summary:A mission rears it's ugly head. They all were seated in the Official's office waiting for the latest mission. Darien was humming and staring out of the window, Bobby was trying to make Claire blush by winking and nudging her. Monroe ignored them all. Eberts came into the room first. He put a stack of files on the desk and took up his usual position. The Official swept in and sat down. "We have received disturbing information regarding an exclusive married couples getaway." The Official gave them all his best "Don't interrupt" glare. "It seems that couples are breaking up and the female half disappearing." "Well, that's marriage for you." Bobby was rewarded for that comment with a sharp elbow from Claire. She glared at him and turned to the Official. "Are you saying that they just disappear?" she asked. "In some cases, yes." The Official replied. "Mmmm. Interesting." mused Claire. "Glad you think so doctor, because you, Hobbes, Fawkes and Monroe are all going undercover to find out what's going on." The Official looked at the group under his glasses. Collective protests started up instantly. "No way, I have plans." "Really sir, is it necessary for all of us to go?" "Married couples? Yuk!!" "I can already disappear, why do I need to go?" The Official's hand went up in the air for silence. Four mouths shut as fast as they opened. "Bobby, you and Monroe will go together..." "Umm sir, wouldn't it make sense for Monroe to go with Fawkes? She has experience. That would leave me to protect Claire." "Good point, although I don't think the good doctor needs protecting." said The Official dryly. "Only from Bobby." Claire muttered under her breath. They all shuffled out, Monroe headed off to her office leaving the three friends together. Darien shook his head. "Man, Annie is going to loop out when she hears this." he said. "Cheer up, they say absence makes the heart grow fonder." "I don't want to be absent. That's the point." "Ahhh, will he miss his playmate?" Bobby smirked as he patted Claire's bottom. "At least I'll be warm at night." he laughed. Claire and Darien rolled their eyes in despair. Monroe had forgotten a file and had come back for it. She heard this little exchange and a little grin crossed across her mouth. So, Bobby and Claire were having sex eh? It was about time. Her expression darkened. Annie again, Darien was clearly in love with her. What did Annie have that she didn't? .Jealousy tingled down her spine. Dammit. Maybe she should have made her move sooner. Her questions were soon answered as a tiny blonde woman rushed up to her. "Have you seen Darien, I mean Agent Fawkes?" "Over there." Monroe nodded her head in the direction of the trio. "Oh,thanks!!" Annie rushed round the corner and bumped headlong into Darien who was coming the other way. Their bodies connected and Annie was propelled into the wall then onto the floor. Monroe observed, as all three people rushed to help. Her lip tightened further as Darien gently picked the woman up and stroked her face. "You okay?" "Yep, although I'm going to have one hell of a bruise on my butt." Annie dusted herself off and patted Darien's cheek. He put his arm around her and dropped a kiss on her head. Monroe's eyes flashed. Time to make her presence felt. "So. This is the famous Annie." Monroe said sweetly. Annie looked at the attractive woman before her. Who was this? Must be another agent. Annie put on her most charming smile. "Yes. Although I don't think I'm that famous." "Trust me. You are ALL they talk about sometimes." Annie's smile faltered at the mocking tone in the other woman's voice. Okay, this woman was clearly a foe. She squared her shoulders and prepared for battle. "Well, I guess they have good taste." "If you can call talking about a very boring subject good taste." "Not that boring, you listened." "I had no choice." "Believe me honey, there's always a choice." "Why don't you run back to the bakery, I hear the new rolls have just been delivered." "Why don't you bite me?" Annie started to walk off down the hall, Darien moved after her. As she walked away, Annie threw a last remark over her shoulder. "Hey,Trailer Trash, why don't you go see Cousin Dad?" Monroe reached for her gun. Bobby quickly intercepted the movement. "Cool it Monroe. You asked for that." Monroe glared at her fellow agent, turned on her heel and stomped back to her office. Bobby had a hard time keeping his grin under control. Darien pulled Annie into a nearby office. "Cousin dad?" he asked. "She started it." Annie sniffed and started to laugh. Darien joined in. It was nice to see Monroe getting a taste of her own medicine. He was proud that it had been Annie who had given it to her. She reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. "Look!" she said excitedly, as Darien read it slowly. It was notification that she had passed her course in basic reading and writing skills. He looked down at Annie. She was so excited she was bouncing up and down. "I guess this means I'll have to brush up on my love letter technique." Darien handed the paper back to her. "Yep!" Annie said happily. Darien gave her a quick hug then kissed her soundly. Things started to get serious as Darien pushed her up against the wall moving his hand under her skirt. She hooked her leg around his and pushed against his hand. Annie felt her climax begin to build as he moved his fingers in and out of her body. Gasping his name she succumbed to the sweet pleasure of his caress. "Phew! What will you do if I ever graduate high school?" Annie straightened her skirt and smoothed her hair. Darien was grinning like a fool. He hadn't done something like that in public ever. She inspired him. Annie looked at the front of his trousers pointedly. "Better sort that out Stretch. Could be awkward for you." Darien looked hopeful. Annie shook her head. "Uh uh, anyone could walk in. Besides, think of your Quicksilver level." "Spoilsport." Darien pouted. Annie grinned, she was sorely tempted to help him, but didn't fancy the Official finding out. He disapproved of her as it was. They had made a deal since she had found out about the invisibility thing. She was prepared to play nice if it kept her Darien. Later that day,the dynamic duo were summoned to the Official's office. Neither man had a clue what to expect. "Monroe has taken unexpected leave." The Official glowered at his agents. Monroe had informed him five minutes before taking off for two weeks. It was dammed bad timing. It left this latest mission short of a female. Inspiration hit him as he looked at his invisible agent. Maybe he could be persuaded to ask his spitfire of a girlfriend to help. He liked Annie. She had guts and didn't scare easily. Hmmmmm. "Agent Fawkes, how would like to take your lovely girlfriend with you?" Darien was on full alert. The Official sounded far too friendly for his liking. Eberts looked like his head was about to explode. Bobby merely looked intrigued. "You want me to take Annie?" Darien blinked rapidly. "She can handle herself, she's smart. Just tell her to keep her opinions to herself." The Official sat back in his chair. "Really, it's not a good idea." Darien protested. "Nonsense. My ideas are always good. Now, have her report here in one hour." The Official picked up his pen and started to write. Darien and Bobby looked at each other and sighed. One hour later, Annie was sitting between Darien and Bobby. She wondered for the hundredth time what she had agreed to. "All I have to do is say I'm Darien's wife and use the facilities?" she asked. "That's all." Eberts said. "I can do that." "Good. Boys? You head out tonight. Miss Rowan? Keep your urges in check. Counteragent is expensive." Annie grinned. "Don't worry,I'll keep his snake green!" "Just keep his snake where it belongs. Dismissed." The Official watched them leave. After much squabbling and playful banter, the two couples arrived at the resort. Bobby was still in the midst of some long winded story of heroism that everyone was only half listening to. "So I said to the guy..." "This one time, at band camp." Sniggers were heard as Annie giggled. Bobby glared at her. "Sorry Bobby. You know I love your stories, but Five is my limit." "Never mind Bobby,I'll stroke your wounded ego later." Claire cooed. Bobby perked up at this idea and stopped sulking. They all admired the resort. Darien and Bobby unloaded their luggage and they went to check in. "Mr and Mrs Faulkner?" The receptionist enquired. Annie giggled softly. Darien put a warning hand on her arm. He hoped she wouldn't blow their cover. Bobby hadn't said a word about her lack of experience. Well, if Bobby wasn't bothered, neither was he. Their rooms were opposite each other, which pleased them all. "Hey Fawkes? Make sure you keep the noise down tonight!!" "Why? Do you need your beauty sleep?" "Men. Why is everything on such a basic level?" Claire shook her head. She was secretly enjoying the thought of her and Bobby in the huge sunken tub in their bathroom. She looked at the wedding ring on her finger and wished it were real. Bobby bustled in. "You Okay there sweetheart?" "Yes, just contemplating taking a swim in our tub." Claire's eyes smouldered at Bobby. She squealed as he picked her up and walked to the bathroom. "Anything you say Mrs Haberman." Annie was unpacking her suitcase and sorting stuff out waiting for Darien to return. A knock on the door revealed a bellhop with a message. She smiled as she took the piece of paper and watched him slouch down the hall. She looked over to the closed door of her friends suite. Muffled sounds of "Oh Bobby" floated out. Annie winced and quickly shut the door. She looked at the note. There were a couple of words she didn't know but she got the general idea. It was a standard welcome note. The message was dropped on the small table by the door and she headed off for a shower. The water felt wonderful. She let it pour over her hair and down her back. Two strong hands clasped her waist and she was pulled against a hard chest. Nimble fingers played with her nipples until she was gasping for air. Annie felt herself being turned round and picked up. She wrapped her legs around Darien's waist as he pressed her into the tiled wall. One firm thrust later and Darien was deep inside her. They moved together frantically as they sought their release. Annie cried out, her head connecting with the wall behind her. Darien moaned her name deeply and grasped her to him, almost as if he could absorb her body into his. Annie dropped her legs and sagged against him. They both fought to catch their breath. "Sometimes, I wish you weren't so short." Darien panted. "I'm not short, you're unusually tall." "Annie, you make Bobby look like a giant." Darien kissed her mouth gently and glanced at her hair. "Want me to wash that for you?" "Can we use the good stuff?" Annie looked excited. "Well, it is a special occasion." Darien reached for his shampoo and conditioner and proceeded to wash and condition Annie's hair. Her soft moans as he massaged her scalp were driving him crazy. His cock began to swell again and he silently willed the erection away. His erection however, had other ideas as it pressed into Annie's back. He managed to finish the job in record time. Annie was trying not to laugh as she felt his obvious discomfort. "Want some help with that, Lambchop?" Annie licked her lips and fell to her knees. Darien moaned as his cock was swallowed straight to the base. God. He was so glad he had decided to share the shower. Both couples were late for dinner that evening. Claire stared at Annie's hair. "Your hair looks great." "Umm thanks, it's the conditioner." Annie and Darien exchanged a meaningful glance. They kept the dinner conversation light and had an enjoyable evening. Later, they met in Bobby and Claire's room. "So, what's the plan?" Darien flopped into a chair. "A little invisible snooping my friend." "Now why didn't I think of that?" "Because you're not me." "Well, thank God for that." "Something wrong in being me?" "No. I'm sure you and your voices love it." Claire looked at Annie. Annie looked at Claire. They both nodded. In unison, they both stood up and headed for the door. "If you want us kiddies, we'll be in the nightclub finding ourselves a couple of sugardaddies. Have fun!" Annie called over her shoulder. The nightclub was hot, crowded and loud. Neither woman minded. In less than ten minutes they were both dancing and singing wildly to their favourite tunes. They collapsed one hour later. "My feet are killing me." Annie rubbed her tender feet."I need the bathroom, I'll be right back." Claire sipped her drink and wondered how the men were getting on. Twenty minutes later she was still waiting. She was just getting up when Bobby and Darien hurried up to her. "Where's Annie?" Darien yelled over the music. "Bathroom. What's wrong?" Both men rushed towards the direction of the toilet. It was empty. Darien looked frantically about him. He then took off in the direction of his room. Bobby followed with a very concerned Claire hot on his heels. Bursting into the suite, Darien found that empty too. "Annie?" he yelled. "Annie?" She was gone. He checked the closet, her clothes were gone. Everything was gone. His eye fell on a note on the bed. Darien, I have decided to go home. I know you thought things were great but they weren't. Please don't try and find me. Annie. "They've got her." Darien spoke so quietly, Bobby had to strain to hear him. "Who's got her?" Claire looked confused. Bobby turned to face her. "We found video footage. In the room off reception. It had a false wall and that's where all the equipment was. They had tapes of all the women that have gone missing. Claire, they had a tape of Annie. In this room, unpacking, when we arrived, they had a close up of her. Even got her in the shower." "I don't understand. Why would they take video footage?" Bobby let out a breath. How could he put this without upsetting Darien anymore? He closed his eyes and took a leaf out of Annie's book. "They had an order book Claire. Height requirements, eye and hair colour, age, the list went on and on. Annie matched." Claire's eyes widened. Her mouth fell open with shock. "Slavery?" "Yep. These guys put an order in for what they want and the resort here delivers. Most of the couples involved were having marriage problems and the local police could do nothing without evidence. Besides, they all had notes." "She didn't write the note." Darien gave a look of pure misery as his friends looked at him. "She could write her name and a few easy sentences but that was it. She still had trouble getting the "i" and the "e" the right way round for Darien." Claire went over to her friend and hugged him tightly. Bobby set his jaw. Thirty minutes had elapsed. He thought hard. He decided to go back to the club to see if anyone had seen anything. His search was proving fruitless. Most of the partygoers where too drunk to care. He was just giving up when a lady tapped him on the arm. "Are you looking for that pretty blonde girl?" "Yes. Yes I am." "She reminded me of my sister. So full of energy, she made quite an impression on the dance floor with her friend." Bobby smiled and tried to move the conversation along. "Did you see her after she stopped dancing?" "Yes. I followed her into the bathroom. I wanted to know who did her hair." "What happened then?" "She left, I came out about a minute after her. I saw her being carried out the side exit that leads to the gardens. I thought she had had too much to drink and it was her husband taking her outside for some air." "That's all?" Bobby was frowning. "Yes. I'm sorry it's not more." Bobby flashed her his most charming smile, thanked her and hurried off to tell his news. Darien was pacing the room. Bobby was on his cell phone talking to the Official. Lots of nodding and hand gesturing was going on. "Okay." Bobby said." The fatman says we can go ahead and search. The local police are on the way with the warrant." Claire practically had to run after Darien as he strode out of the room in search of his beloved Annie. They reached reception and Bobby pulled his badge out. "Federal agents. You are all under arrest." Employees began to scatter as they tried to get away. Bobby moved fast. He slipped into the room behind reception and managed to block the false wall shut. Satisfied that no one could get in there he shut and locked the outer door. Darien was heading for the gardens. One glance around showed no obvious exit for a car. There were no recent tyre marks on the gravel out front or in the side entrance. Hmmm. Where could they have gone? Somewhere close by or they would have risked being seen. He kicked a stone in frustration. It clattered against an old storm shelter hatch. His eyes lit upon it. The gravel had been disturbed recently. Without thinking, he opened the hatch, peering into the darkness. He walked down the stairs cautiously, his eyes becoming accustomed to the dim light. There, huddled together, were five very frightened women. Darien searched the group looking for the familiar blue eyes. He let out a little gasp of relief when he found them. Annie sobbed when she saw him. Detangling herself from the other women, she crossed the short distance and fell into his arms. Darien silently thanked God, thanked the fatman, thanked anyone he could think of. Now he had her back, he was never going to let her go. The Official shut the file in front of him. This case had left a nasty taste in everyone's mouths. The police had swarmed over every inch of the resort. Most of the staff were taken in for questioning, and Bobby saw to it that the video tapes were handled with care. The women who had been found with Annie were shocked, but unharmed. They had been reunited with their husbands. The F.B.I were still trying to locate the other women on the tapes but most of the leads they had showed up nothing. As for Annie, well, she had recovered well. Shocked at first, she had soon pulled herself together and had gone back to her job at the bakery. Of course, she had uttered some departing words in his direction in her debriefing. Something along the lines of Eberts joining him up his ass. He chuckled. Yes, she was a feisty one. He moved to the window and looked to the street. Darien was teasing Annie with a custard tart, holding it just out of her reach. He watched as she stamped on Darien's foot and grabbed the cake as he bent in pain. He chuckled again. Yes. A fiesty one indeed. He sat down at his desk and opened up the next case. The End.
