Musically bred in the birthplace of bossa nova (chill-a-nova) Brazil, then relocating to guitar/rock USA, Marcus eventually grew tired of the stale confines of the rock/pop outfit and moved his creative energies to electronic music. Finding more freedom and self-expression through the pursuit of the so-called chill-beats", tracks like " Chill Rio" and "Chill Us" drop into the exixting chill jazz scene with fresh flourishes and a broad aesthetic. "Universe" which partially recalls the Moog-y heyday of the late 60's, was chosen to inaugurate Keyboard Magazine's "Unsigned Artist of the Month" feature.
