What Is Sudoku?
As the above image shows, Sudoku is a puzzle in which you must place a number from 1 to 9 in each box.
Each number must appear once - and only once - in each of the rows, columns, and 3-by-3 boxes.
The following picture illustrates a couple of illegal moves which have been highlighted in red.
The 2 that is placed in Row 1 Column 1 is not valid because there is already a 2 in that column.
The 7 that is placed in Row 9 Column 4 in not valid because there is already a 7 in the same 3x3 box.
Features Of This Game
- Generate Game - This program will generate games at 4 levels -- Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert
- Solve It For Me! - Ready to give up!? You can see what the final board might look like.
- Gimme a Hint! - You can either specify a particular location, or get a random hint.
- Check My Work - The program will tell you if you have made a mistake.
- Clear Board - Just that. Clears the board of all numbers.
- Save Game/Load Game - You can save your current game and load it later!
- Restart Game - Restart a generated game at the beginning.
- Print Game - Print a game to paper. Make sure printer is ON!
