Favourite driver - Stirling Moss - who needs no introduction here but no doubt there is plenty on the WWW on Stirling. Stirling was the star attraction at the TACCOC Whenuapai Wings & Wheels meeting at the beginning of March 1997. Such a great shame that the weather spoilt the meeting but Stirling was magnificent - as always. WAFFLEThe car has been built for Classic Racing, Club Racing, Targa & Tarmac Rallies.
It is absolutely immaculate and is a real credit to John & his team. The
car unfortunately failed at the first Whenuapai meeting - John claims he was trying to
catch a Marcos - and the car reappeared for Whenuapai 2000, where once again it failed to
finish the meeting. The latest problems seem to be around the camshaft but a low dif
and high revs may have pushed it a bit... We look forward to seeing it racing in
earnest pretty soon. |
