OCCUPATIONChartered Accountant ENTRANT/SPONSORBUDAPEST PICKLES YEAR'S IN ACTIVE MOTORSPORT - 20Three years with this ex Glen Thompson car, which was upgraded from Category 1 (standard) to Category 2 in September 1996. Barry has raced and rallied many vehicles over his 20 years including Hillman Avenger and a Mk II Jaguar. Oh yes, also an Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV and Chevrolet Corvette. (which are NOT BRITISH...) Competed with this car on the Dunlop Targa Rallies in 1995 & 1996, finishing 25th overall and top MG last time. INTERESTS OTHER THAN RACING (if any...)Yachting, Boating - all sports. ALL TIME FAVOURITE RACING CAR/DRIVERBruce McLaren WAFFLESince upgrading to Category 2 specification, with its 1850cc still giving away capacity to other MGBs, the car is considerably quicker than in standard form. Very attractive in Maroon with a distinctive Turquoise flash and carrying the personalised number plate -"PICKLE". The car is seen briefly in the Television advertisement for Budapest Pickles the team sponsor. Budapest also produce a very attractive poster showing Barry and Andrew with their two car team.
