75 Body Repair Scheme
Step 2. Stringing (Continued)
Straighten out needle and snake it in through the left arm hole and out the right arm hole.  See more on this in Techniques.
This photo shows the needle aready through the right arm hole.  The needle has had the elastic threaded through it and is being pulled through the chest cavity towards the left arm hole.
Now the elastic has been pulled through the left arm hole and clamped.
Gently pull the elastic down through the upper arm piece.  It is very important that you only pull until the elastic comes though the square elbow hole enough to get a hold of it.  Do not pull the needle all the way through the arm piece, because it is almost impossible to thread it back up through the arm piece- even moreso with an elastic strip already threaded down through it. This photo on the right  already shows the elastic pulled through.
Now you are basically repeating what you did for the right arm.
This photo shows the needle already snaked through the left upper arm piece and the elastic already threaded through the second eyelet on the needle.
Next, snake the needle though the elbow slit (under the rivet) and thread the elastic through the eyelet.
Pull the elastic through the elbow slit.  Just as a precaution it is good to use pliers to crimp the needle eye down hard on the elastic.  Then pull the elastic back up through the upper arm piece and clamp it.
This, again, is what the inside of the chest piece looks like and the red arrows show the path the needle should take.  Again, it is important that it be snaked around the post, as shown, or the head will not sit on the neck evenly.
Once the needle is out the neck hole, thread the elastic through the second eyelet, crimp it with the pliers and gently pull the elastic through the chest cavity and out the neck  hole. See the caution on this step on the Techniques Page.
Here the needle is being inserted through the the arm hole.
When the elastic strip is through the neck, clamp it.  At this point both arms are in place and both elastics are through the neck hole and clamped.  Both lower arm pieces are on the right arms so we can move on to the neck and head piece.
