A great 2007 to all of you!

Let's see if I can live up to at least one New Year's good intention...which is to start this blog and add entries frequently. I'm not quite sure yet in which direction this will go, but I guess most entries will be about news in the Netherlands (my home country), Amsterdam (my current home town), and Alkmaar (my soon-to-be home town, moving there at the end of this year). Also expect some comments on my experiences in the weird but wonderful world of geography, and favourite leisure activities like checking out indie rock bands, cheering for the 'red white dynamite' football team of AZ Alkmaar, hiking, cycling or travelling.
