| The bitting cold, rough wind, Sweeping my soul upon it, Sending me hither and yon. And to their side, I silently glide, And find myself outside Looking on. Away from their presence now send me, Tomorrow will find me again, Whith a stranger I wanted a friendship, Again find myself looking in. The outside so cold and so lonely, And knowing that you'd been around, I soar high in the heavens nightly, Over colorful cities looking down. The feeling when I found you, amazing, That perhaps a new life would begin, Then into your life I was staring, Longing overcame me, looking in. Again I must leave for another, Someone else this sadness to heal, But when I find what I'm after, I must know that it can not be real. And so my soul searches on, Love's shelter to keep me within, And though forever has already gone, I find myself still... Looking in... |
