The service we provide is for the purification of gold into approximately 99.95% pure. All of our weight measuring is done in troy grams to the hundredth of a gram.

Your bench sweeps, filings etc can be reclaimed as well, we suggest you melt this down into a button, ingot, bar. If you wish for us to do this then there will be an ADDITIONAL CHARGE for this service. Prior to melting all your bench sweeps, filings, etc, you should pass over it with a strong magnet to remove any non precious metals and pickle the material before melting the metal into button(s), ingot(s) or bar(s). Non precious metals, steel, iron, lead, can complicate matters during our service. 

Each of your shipments may contain one or more batches of jewelry or broken jewelry. Each batch will be individually weighed and an invoice will be returned with your gold indicating the total weight in to us and the total weight recovered, then minus our 7.5% fee with a grand total returned to you.

Each batch must have a minimum of 124.41grams (4oz) and a maximum of 373.24grams (12oz).

Each batch should have the Karat gold written on it. Moreover, separating the Karat gold will be of help to you and us. But if you wish to mix your karat gold then using the estimator below will be futile.

It is not necessary to melt down rings as we will be able to process them as they are if the ring shanks are not broken. All stones left in the rings will not be harmed in the reclaiming process and all the stones will be returned to you, that is if you do not wish to take the time to remove them yourself.

Each batch of recovered gold will be made into increments of 5 oz bars and with any amount leftover, that is less than 5 ounces, will be made into casting shot. Although, it is possible for us to do as much gold in casting shot as you need from each batch.

Any mixed gold will not be able to be estimated by our program nor over the phone. Or if you wish for us to give you an estimate on each batch instead, we can do this provided there is not mixed karats in the batch.

We at Marchetti & Co. will take, in lieu of cash or check, the total of 7.5% of the recovered gold per batch. This percentage we take will include the return shipping. 

Our goal for each batch is a 96 hour turnaround or less, so your gold will be shipped back to you as soon as possible. This goal of time can change without notice and it will depend on the current workload. If any entity needs specific arrangements for their shipment, please notify us in advance. If more than one batch is sent in then we will wait until all your batches are finished before returning your pure gold to you. Other arrangements can be made in advance.

Once a business has been working with us for a while, they will automatically get a discount, but this will be at a later date. If you request more information, we will answer your questions.

We are not an assayer, nor do not assay any gold. Please do not ask us to assay your gold.
