My Sister and her family were here for these launches. This was the first time that I have launched at GH Park. It is great for flying; there is a lot of open space. There were some RC air planes flying at the park too. Of course, my nephews wanted to try and shoot down the planes with a rocket.

This was the first flight of the Ionizer Rocket. This is a ready to fly rocket that is quite large in diameter and is mostly made of molded plastic. It belongs to my sister's family.

It took off and flew pretty straight. It did not fly very high with the small engine. We discovered that no wadding had been put in between the motor and the parachute. Needless to say, the parachute was nearly ruined on its first flight by being melted from the ejection charge.

Another lesson is learned.
