Notes

My Sister and her family were here for these launches. This was the first time that I have launched at GH Park. It is great for flying; there is a lot of open space. There were some RC air planes flying at the park too. Of course, my nephews wanted to try and shoot down the planes with a rocket.

This was the third flight of the Army Missile.

It took off with a great whoosh that made everyone take a step back. Within a few seconds, it promptly disappeared out of sight. The gray rocket against a gray sky was impossible to see. We spotted the smoke from the parchute deployment and it landed about 100 yards away near where some kids were practicing soccer where it was recovered by a bored goalie.

It was a very impressive flight.
