Notes

Marielayna and I flew this rocket. It was the Sting Ray MK109 Missile's First Flight. This rocket was built by Marielayna. It was the first rocket she assembled. It was the second flight of the day. A good time was had by all.

We chose to angle the launcher very slightly into the wind. Marielayna started the video going and I gave a fast countdown. She pressed the launch button. The rocket took off with a smoky launch and flew to about 120 feet. The rocket arched over and started down and there was a moment of worry until the parachute opened and brought her down about 25 feet from the launch pad.

Post flight inspection revealed a scorched area on the parachute which prevented it from fully deploying.
