Notes

We flew these rockets with my sister, Suzanne, and her two sons, Lee and Paul. The boys seemed restless and bored.

My friend from work, Jimbo, and his son were flying kites nearby and got to enjoy the show.

This was the second flight of the Code Red Rocket. This is a preassembled, ready to fly rocket. This the first flight of the Flash. This tall rocket was built by me nephew Lee. A dual simultaneous launch was planned using two launchers.

Suzanne pressed the launch buttons after the all clear signal and countdown. The Code Red rocket took off and flew up and out of sight. There was a problem with the launcher clips coming off the igniter on the Flash. It was quickly resolved and the Flash flew up and nearly out of sight. The Code Red was lost and we could not determine its landing place. Luckily, someone kept the Flash in sight and it landed within about 50' of the Code Red which was already on the ground.

A successful flight, but the simultaneous launch did not work.
