Notes

We flew these rockets with my assistant Joyce, her granddaughter, Kierra, and Kierra's cousin Brandon. A good time was had by all.

This was the third flight of the Rattler 7 Missile. This is a cool looking rocket that has a desert camouflage theme. This was the second flight of the afternoon.

Windy conditions dictated inclining the launcher into the wind at about 10 degrees. Brandon pressed the launch button after the all clear signal and countdown. The rocket took off and pointed into the wind at a slight angle. Those assembled to watch it were very impressed. The parachute deployed correctly however, the shock cord failed. The bottom of the rocket experienced "tumble recovery" while a brisk wind carried the upper section a little way off. Brandon had good run and had to climb the fence into a corral to recover it. Kierra gathered up the booster section which was still in usable condition.

Great flight and our first launch video.
