Notes

We flew these rockets with three children. A good time was had by all.

I have lost track of the number of flights this rocket has had, but it has never failed to please those watching.

We chose to angle the launcher into the wind at an angle of approximately 15 degrees from vertical. This seemed the prudent thing to do because of the long recovery of the first two flights on this night. I had never tried this before but had read about it in a couple of books. Joseph pressed the launch button after the all clear signal and countdown. The rocket took off fine and flew nearly out of site. I thought it was easier to watch as it was a little more in front of us instead of overhead. The recovery was about 1/3 of the distance of the first two flights on this day.

This was the last flight of the day. A soccer practice would soon be underway nearby, so we called it quits after three very successful flights.
