Notes

We flew these rockets with my sister's family. A good time was had by all. There were two other families flying rockets there that afternoon.

This was the first flight of the Code Red Rocket. This is preassembled, ready to fly rocket which is bright red. This second flight of the afternoon as there was a problem with launch controller on the first launch attempt Code Red rocket. The problem turned out to be that the batteries had been inserted into the launch controller backwards.

Lee pressed the launch button after the all clear signal and countdown. The rocket took off and went straight up. The rocket flew up quite aways with a great whoosh. He had been excited about the prospect of the launch and was not disappointed with the final result. The rocket's red color made it easy to see during flight. It deployed its parachute and drifted a fair distance on its descent. It was a perfect first flight.

This flight got everyone energized and ready for more.
