Rocket Launch Notes
What Rattler 7 Missile When August 13, 2000 Where GH Park Weather Clear, sunny skies, Light NW wind, temp 80, 2:00 PM Engine A8-3 Status First Flight and Recovery Other Successful Photo None Notes We flew these rockets with my sister's family. A good time was had by all. There were two other families flying rockets there that afternoon.
This was the first flight of the Rattler 7 Missile. This is the first model rocket that I have assembled from a kit. I was a little nervous about how it would fly. This first flight of the afternoon as there was a problem with launch controller on the Code Red rocket.
My sister pressed the launch button after the all clear signal and countdown. The rocket took off and went straight up. The rocket flew up about 150' and deployed its parachute quickly. It was a perfect first flight. The flight was not remarkable compared to our usual high flyers.
I was thankful that all went well and the rocket was still in good condition.
