Body work
One of the most hated things by ANY car guy, rated with rebuilding an automatic trans, is body work. I was lucky, I didn't have much to do, and foolish me didn't take pics til I went to hang the new panels, but I can blindly lead you up to the pics.

Here's how it started out:

I bought a door from a junkyard for $50. Found a fender on a forum (www.oldspower.com) for $50 and picked it up. I cut out the normal rust in the bottom of the new door and riveted in aluminum, then layed down bondo (I know, I hate it too) and smoothed it out. The fender took a little "red lead", aka spot putty, as did the skin of the door. So I sanded it all down nice and smooth and prepped it and primed it.

I then painted the panels with "duplicolor" premixed, spray can paint. It worked quite well, but the color is off, a bit too dark, even with the rest of the car fading. But otherwise, for a spray can job, not to bad.

I, with the help of some friends; Aaron, Bryan, Tom, Tommy (yes 2 different Toms) and my Dad; did the rest of the work.
Aaron and Bryan helped pull the hood off.

From there, Aaron helped pull off the door, then the fender.

We then hung the new fender and put the hood on.

With the help of Aaron, Tom, and a floor jack, we hung the door.
Oh, and that gap was FIRST SHOT! That's why it took 2 people and a jack.

The next day was spent putting the door together and the day after that was spent buffing out the door and fender and detailing the whole car.

For 3 days of work I don't think it came out to bad at all.
