New Jersey. I am eight years old and have a disease called Neurofibromatosis Type 1. NF-1 is a Progressive Genetic Neurological Disorder that causes tumors to form on the nerves anywhere in the body, at any time. I have over 300 tumors in my body. I get new tumors throughout my body on a daily basis. We started the Lexi Rose Foundation to raise money for research and to help other families with similar problems.
