The car had California tags on it when we bought it. Look at the registration -- this car hadn't been registered since 1995 !! Well, the first things we did was to get rid of the California license plates, and the California title.

Ahh, the benefits of being in the military, and being a resident of ANOTHER state. All I had to do was call the Texas Department of Transportation. We filled out a few forms, sent them our original California title, a check for the new tags, and POOF, the California tags and title were magically replaced with a Texas title and tags. This only took 2 weeks !!! When is the last time California sent out new tags in 2 weeks ?

No more stupid California smog tests for me !!!.

Off with the old tags. The less I have to deal with the California DMV, the better !!

First set of Texas tags.  We've finally made up our mind about personalized plates.  Just waiting for them to get here.
