Emblem Six

Sow your gold in the white foliated earth

Listen to fugue Six

EPIGRAM 6

To the fat earth the farmers give their seeds,
After it's foliated with their rakes.
The Wise say, strew the gold on snowy fields,
Which have th'appearance of a flimsy leaf:
When you do this, look well, because gold grows,
Just as you see it mirrored in the wheat.
