Map Tips

.If you are going to make an rpg, make sure you plan everything first. Have a storyline ready, all the heroes known, and the setting, etc. Make sure you actually want to make it and you are willing to put in the time and effort.

.Always do the best you can, a few extra doodads here, or reshaping the terrain so you can get around better. The road to perfection is as long as infinity.

.A fast way to learn good skills for triggers, is to simply find a map made by a skilled map maker (like me), and look around inside the trigger area. Observe, and learn.

.Test the map often. Don't wait until the end before you test, otherwise you'll probably end up with problems that are really complex, and would take you ages to fix, or be really hard to find.

.Like my teachers say, Keep It Simple Stupid. Don't make triggers more complex than they need to be.  This can actually cause new problems.

.Double check all your triggers, sometimes you will find a mistake right under your eye.

.If you are going to put music in the map, make sure the volume is right.

.Don't use those map lockers.  Some people do like looking at other's maps, including me, and it is quite annoying to see it locked.

.Don't give a computer controlled High Templar the hallucinations ability. Sometimes, they end up running around, hallucinating everyone, which can be a real problem.
