Entering Maoco
Visa:
Foreign people can only visit Moaco when in possession of a visa. A visa will only be permitted when the person is invited by a Moacoan Governmental Member of State. (MGMS) It is not possible to obtain a visa for Maoco in other countries. A handwritten invitation by the MGMS must be in the possession of the person when travelling to Moaco and will be examined at arrival, by the Immigration Office. People without a valid MGMS invitation, and people who are not granted a visa based on an invitation will be sent back immediately! Visa's will be granted for a maximum of four months.

People who are born in Moaco or Kananga do not need a visa. Place of birth will be checked at the National Birth Register.
Passport/ ID:
Foreign people must leave their passports at the Immigration Office at arrival. They will get an ID-card in return, which they have to carry with them at all times during their stay at Moaco.When leaving Moaco they will get their passports back in return for the ID-card.

People who are born in Moaco or Kananga also have to carry their ID-cards with them at all times.
Money:
It is forbidden by law to take Moacoan currency from the island. Moacoan Pounds are not exchangeable anywhere in the world, besides on Moaco and Kananga Island. It is possible to change the following currency at the Immigration Office at arrival into Moacoan Pounds (MP): currency from India, Malaysia, Indonesia and bars of pure gold. Before leaving one has to change the remaining MP for Indian rupees.
