Take a read here to follow my thoughts.
It quotes for the 21st Amendment:
"Over-zealous police and federal agents violated civil rights when searching for and destroying the paraphernalia of alcohol...A movement began to form to repeal the 18th Amendment. Prohibition of alcohol was seen as an affront to personal liberty, pushed on the nation by religious moralists."
Can you imagine? If an amendment for marriage is passed, masses of men and women running to underground churches. A mafia forms passing marriage certificates secretly, buying off police officers. Then a band of "Untouchables" storm warehouses to burn certificates and arrest priests. Who will be the Al Capone of gay marriage?
Or how about taking an idea from history, and make gay marriages 3/5th of a hetero marriage? They would get 3/5th benefits, be counted as 3/5th of a couple, and have 3/5th responsibility to raise children.
Should I continue? Are you taking me seriously?
