Many Midnights was born ten years ago when I decided to try my hand at writing horror fiction, particularly
short stories and novellas. My first tale, THE TREES, was conceived somewhat quickly, mainly because I had,
so many other ideas I wanted to tap into. Before I knew what happened I was firmly (pardon the adverb)
ensnared within horror literature's cold and alluring grasp. In short... I was hooked. For me few things can
compare to a truly frightening and disturbing piece of short horror fiction. I've read countless tales from masters
such as Lovecraft, Barker and King to unknown amateurs. I frequently haunt speculative fiction ezines on the
web as well as purchasing print magazines. So after submitting my own works for years, and racking up nearly
200 publications in the process, I decided to take the next logical step and start a horror ezine. For a change
I want to be the one who critiques works of fiction. I feel, and hope, this will only help my own writing
aspirations as well as adding another notch on my speculative belt. My main goal however is to display many
of the midnights that are submitted to me to the world, and other worlds as well, and with the help of my beautiful
daughter Mandy, bring to light some of the deepest fears that we all harbor inside. So please, light a blood red
candle, brew a hot cauldron of tea and enjoy many of these midnights.
I've been writing all types of horror and weird fiction for well over ten years. I've had nearly 200 publications so far, including ones in Demon Minds,
Alienskin, Crimson, Horror Library, Midnight Times, From the Asylum and Open Vein, and have had work included in numerous anthologies, including
an upcoming one in Scotopia Press' Dark Distortions book, due out in March. I've written over one hundred tales, including three novellas, and am currently
working on revising one of my short stories into a novella. I am also a guest author each year at Memphis Junior High School. I have written and edited three
anthology books,� Many Midnights', 'Chills by Candlelight','Beneath the Moonlight', and 'As Mean as the night', which are both available on Lulu.com, Barnes and Noble.com, Borders.com and Target.com, as well as on this website. My 'homemade' books include: 'Many Midnights', 'Stories that go Bump in the Night', 'Fractured Dreams', 'Slices of Horror', 'Many More Midnights' 'Chills by Candlelight', 'Touch of Horror',and 'Cold, Dark Tales' .
