By Manuel Newton
My feelings I can’t describe,
I’m no longer part of the tribe,
My mind is all astray,
Just hoping for the day,
That you come forth and say,
I am yours today,
And for the rest of time,
You will be mine.
Who cares what society tells,
Or the hatred they try to impel,
Live what’s in your heart,
For it kills me to be apart,
Each time that I see your face,
I make a wish but all in haste,
For you just turn away,
And sadness takes its play,
Am I making this clear?
Not having you is my only fear,
Then you play me once again,
But aren’t you my friend?
